Decisions of a not so important nature...

... but kind of fun to make anyway.

So, this is a photo of my transportational at the beach at the end of my street. He had a great day building sandcastles and playing in the waves.

But when I get back to Melbourne, I think I'm going to want a change, I think I'm ready for a different style of transportational and I think I've picked this one...

Pros:

  • Cara plus other friends won't touch the Very Fast Red but might pillion up on this one.
  • Far less chance of me falling off.
  • Traffic is much nicer to you.
  • More relaxed style of getting around.
  • New bike should keep it's value much better than the old bike.
  • Cheaper insurance.

Cons:

  • Have to buy and sell transportationals = hassle.
  • Requires monies.
  • Don't have the gut, beard or black jacket for it.
  • Should I just buy a car instead?

So, what say you blogdudes and blogchicks? When people ask why I went more cruisery than sporty can I just tell them that the internet told me to?

The gut, beard and black jacket can all be acquired. The first two will take dedication, but I believe in your gut/beard growing abilities!

Pffft, you can't just tell people to love you. You're not the boss of us.

They are both most excellent, and it is entirely your decision, but it is abundantly clear that the red one is faster and most likely makes zippy vroom noises and is RED, and therefore the obvious choice.

The red one is on par with those "vrrrrm, tish" cars which I loathe so I suggest you push it down a flight of stairs and claim the insurance....not that I'd know anything much about motor claims....

Buy a Smart Car or one of those hi tech scooter/podium things you stand upright on and then drive around.

Or buy Moon shoes or those tough kangaroo style legs that marathon runners who've lost a leg use.

Think outside the box.

Which is going to go better with superhero/rockstarrish clobber? If you simply have to save the world, at least you could change in a car.

Why are you asking me? Adam, I. Don't. Care. Okay!

My vote is for the second one.

Thank you. I hope I win the competition.

how much you wanna sell the red one for??

how big is it?

i'm in the market for a 600-750cc...

It's a Honda VFR750. The motor is in awesome shape, apparently these bikes have very few engine issues, I've had one and had it fixed so it should run for a long time yet. It's got 40k on the dial.

Not sure on the price yet, I've scratched the fairings which I'm intending to replace. I'm not ready for saleage until I've got the other one... I'll drop you an e-mail when I'm ready...

What is this? The trading post?

What about a hot pink scooter? I saw one the other day, it was so cute! Although I can never figure out where the hell you put your shopping with those... Oh! Jac will know...

Okay, so I'm guessing 'cute' isnt the look you're going for? ppfft

At 12:16 PM, Blogger Adam said...

Pffft, it's not the trading post, it's an opportunity for you, the voting public to determine my vehicular future. Keep the red or go with the black... only you can determine the results!

Um, yeah, how many IT Ninjas have you seen on a cute pink scooter?

Maybe the voting public isn't responsible enough to make the right decisions...

well, given the voting public's record over the last... say... 10 years, i think it's quite obvious that the voting public can't be trusted.

what you should do is take a poll... and whatever the voters decide your desitny should be, you should without doubt do the opposite.

Oooh Adam, PUH-LEASE tell me you're getting the black bike - it's HOT.

At 2:28 PM, Blogger Adam said...

Whoa! 3 votes to irrelevant... the black bike wins!!

Thanks kids, you've made an excellent decision. I'll take you all for a ride (one at a time or all together, I'm easy) in March.
