Multiple Choice Question for Today.
Why am I so bad at Ten Pin Bowling? Is it because:
1.) I fear alienating my friends if I'm too too good.
2.) I have no hand/eye co-ordination because I didn't do any sport as a child.
3.) I have dodgy wrists from disengaging from motorbike to ground at speed.
4.) I always try to entertain my fellows with stupid shots that score none.
5.) I'm not usually drunk enough/too drunk.

anyway, i would personally vote for the not drunk enough/too drunk--mainly because i think that is a contributing factor as to why i have never bowled over 100 in my life.

Anywho, I actually wrote "bowlin'" first, but you see, young lady, Lawn Bowls has become popular with the young and trendy about town so I felt the need to differentiate. And to formalise. I'm writing this in a tuxedo.
I scored 97 last game. Years ago we used to play with work and I got 121 three weeks in a row, now my last score is the best I've done in ages.
Ohhhh I just don't know what to chooooose. They all look so good.
For me, a 97 would be amazing. Why am I such a bad bowler? I like to blame the shoes. Certainly it has nothing to do with my lack of skill or talent. No, no-it's definitely the shoes.
It's not 'formality', DrowningInJello. If we were simply to say 'bowling', it'd be confused not only for lawn bowls as Adam suggested, but also cricket (because that's how the ball is 'served up' to the batter).
We're more versatile, that's all.

I bowled on Saturday night (ten pin bowling, it is what we are talking about) and I bowled a turkey.
Yeah!
A turkey is like, 3 strikes in a row. And I totally beat everyone else, I rocked!! I only scored 114 though because I am actually crap.
Bevis, try the Strike bowling alley at Melbourne Central, they have this thing where it takes your picture each time you bowl - we produced many hijinks and nudity.
