About as brief as a skimpy pair of Y-fronts. Har.

The joke:
A man walks into a bar.... ouch.
Can be explained thusly. It's a play on words, when the joke starts, the audience assumes the man is walking into a nightspot with alcohol, a bar. With the last part of the joke, the punchline if you will, the audience finds out the man actually walked into a phyisical pole, maybe a metal bar. This would cause the man some discomfort and possibly pain. The humour behind the joke lies in the surprise of the audience, they are thinking one thing, and then forced to realise it was something completely different. Hahaha!
